The Woods at Beauty Hill:

Located at: 557 Beauty Hill Rd.
Barnstead , NH 03255
Phone: 603-568-6749

began as an 18-hole disc golf course established June 2006 by Lisa Prizio and Blaze Konefal. Spread over 40 acres of woods and open fields, it is one of the most beautiful disc golf courses in New England. An early history of Barnstead, NH reports the remarkable views from the heights of Beauty Hill in the 1770’s took in, not only the silvery Lake Winnipesaukee and the majestic Mt. Chocorua, but also the whitened sails of vessels resting far to the southeast in Portsmouth Harbor.

Disc golf is played like ball golf with small plastic discs thrown from a tee into an elevated basket. This relaxing and inexpensive sport, appropriate for ages 10 and older, is easy to learn and appeals to multiple generations. For those who desire more of a challenge, there are leagues and tournaments to provide some friendly competition. The course is played in open fields, woodlots and tree-lined lanes. Loaner discs are available on site.
